Ride Safely



A standard feature on all new Accord models is the Honda Sensing™ suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies, designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving.

  • COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM™ (CMBS™) 1
    Helps bring your Accord to a stop by automatically applying brake pressure when the system determines a frontal collision is unavoidable.
  • ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM (RDM) 2
    RDM can determine if you cross over detected lanes without signaling and can even provide steering and braking assistance to help you stay in your lane.
  • FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (FCW) 3
    The FCW system can help sense the presence of vehicles in front of you, and if it calculates that you're at risk of colliding with a detected vehicle, it activates audible and visible alerts.
  • LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) 4
    A small camera searches for lane markings on the road. If it detects the driver making an unindicated lane departure, visual and audible alerts will signify the departure.
  • LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM (LKAS) 5
    Long highway drives are easier with LKAS, which subtly adjusts steering to help keep the Accord centered in a detected lane.
  • ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) 6 WITH LOW-SPEED FOLLOW
    ACC helps you maintain a set following interval. After stopping, a tap on the throttle instructs the car to continue maintaining the desired interval between the vehicles.

System operation affected by extreme interior heat. FCW does not include a braking function. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.

[4] Lane Departure Warning (LDW) only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use. LDW may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.

[5] LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.

[6] Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed follow cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed, and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather, or on winding roads. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
